Sponsorship Proposal
We invite your organization to join our coordinated and collective effort to support those affected by the 2025 Southern California Wildfires.
The Ask
We invite your organization to join us in this critical relief effort. NYC❤LA is committed to leveraging our community’s passion for running to support those in need. By partnering with us, your organization can play a crucial role in rebuilding lives and communities devastated by the 2025 Southern California wildfires.
We are seeking donations from brands and businesses in the form of financial support, donation matching, and/or product giveaways to encourage runners and run clubs to participate and donate. If you have a brick and mortor location, you could donate use of your space for one or several of our community runs.
Your sponsorship, depending on how you choose to support, will directly contribute to:
• Immediate relief for displaced residents
• Support for unemployed service workers
• Air quality improvement initiatives
• Long-term rebuilding efforts
• Incentive & rewards to community participants via giveaways, gift cards, discounts, etc
• Logistics for planning all community runs (meet-up point, bag check, post-run refreshments, etc)
To discuss collaboration opportunities or for more information, please contact us at hello@nyclovesla.com or fill out our interest form. Together, we can turn every step into support for those who need it most.
The Plan
NYC❤LA is a community-based effort committed to helping make a difference through the following actions:
Community Fundraising Runs: In the coming weeks, we invite NYC runners, running crews, and friends to amplify our initiative by spreading the word, whether that be at regular weekly community runs or social media channels. We are partnering with various NYC run crews to dedicate one of thier existing community runs to NYC❤LA and accept donations at the run. A dedicated community run may include giveaways from our sponsors as a special thank you to everyone who participates and donates.
Corporate Sponsorship: We are also seeking financial support, donation matching, and other donations from businesses and organizations to drive participants and/or reward them for donating and participating in our community runs.
Collective Community Run: We want to show our solidarity with a community run that brings all walkers, runners, and crews together. We are aiming for the vibe and collective spirit of The Last 10, a run that many of us participate in to prepare for the NYC Marathon. We would like this to really showcase how much NYC runners and friends love and support our West Coast family.
The Collective
Community Run
We will host a finale NYC❤LA community run composed of all participating run crews in the fundraising series (and whoever else wants to pull up) to show our collective love and continued support for LA during such a catastrophic time.
The run will be held mid-to-late March. Additional details to follow.
Impact of Your Support
Your participation will increase awareness and donations that make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by the wildfires. Examples of those differences might look like:
$10,000
could provide temporary housing for 5 displaced families for a month
$25,000
could fund air purifiers for 100 homes in affected areas
$50,000
could contribute to job retraining programs for unemployed service workers
Additional Information
The Crisis
The January 2025 Southern California wildfires have had a catastrophic impact on the Los Angeles region:
• Over 12,000 structures destroyed
• Approximately 205,000 residents displaced
• Severe air quality issues across Southern California
• Disproportionate impact on low-income communities
To put this devastation into perspective:
• The Los Angeles wildfires burned more than 40,000 acres, which is nearly three times the size of Manhattan
• The number of structures lost is equivalent to destroying every building in a city the size of Santa Fe, New Mexico
• The number of people displaced is comparable to evacuating the entire population of Orlando, Florida
Non-Profits
Altadena Girls Fire Recovery is a teen-led initiative providing clothing, beauty products, and personal supplies to teenage girls affected by the Eaton Fire in Los Angeles.
Baby2Baby is a national nonprofit distributing diapers, clothing, and essential items to children living in poverty across the United States. Your donation enable them to continue responding to the needs of children and families affected across Los Angeles and ensure they can provide long term support during the recovery and rebuilding process.
National Day Laborer Organizing Network improves the lives of day laborers, migrants and low-wage workers. They build leadership and power among those facing injustice so they can challenge inequality and expand labor, civil and political rights for all. Donation Platform
Our donation collection platform is powered by Pledge.to. They are a free online fundraising platform that accepts multiple payment methods, and allows for donation tracking so our donors can have trust and transparency into the amount of funds raised and who the funds are going to.
Our Why
We believe in the power of community. The NYC running scene is about more than just miles—it’s about showing up for each other. When the 2025 Southern California wildfires devastated LA and its surrounding areas, we knew we wanted to help. That’s why we’re rallying NYC’s run crews and friends to support the relief efforts. NYC❤LA isn’t just about running—it’s about solidarity, support, and lifting each other up in times of need, no matter the distance.
